LIP & TONGUE-TIE RELEASE

At Honeybee we understand that the first months of life are foundational. Tongue function, airway health, and feeding coordination play a critical role in how babies grow, sleep, and thrive.

Our consultations are unhurried and thoughtful. We look beyond the appearance of a tie to understand how your baby feeds, breathes, rests, and uses their tongue and mouth in real time. Not every infant requires intervention, and when care is recommended, it is always intentional, gentle, and based on anatomy and function—never fear or urgency.

Dr. Nez has over a decade of experience performing laser-assisted soft-tissue procedures. She currently utilizes LightScapel CO₂ laser technology, which allows for precise tissue release with minimal thermal spread, excellent visibility, and optimized healing—particularly important for infants and young children. To support healing, Dr. Nez incorporates

Photobiomodulation (PBM) – Light Therapy, a calming, non-invasive treatment that helps:

• Reduce inflammation

• Support tissue healing

• Improve circulation

• Enhance comfort and recovery

Her care and approach is truly thoughtful, individualized, and rooted in collaboration. She works closely with lactation consultants and other specialists to ensure families feel supported every step of the way—providing not just treatment, but guidance, clarity, and confidence.

Our goal is simple: to support mother and baby comfort, effective feeding, healthy airway development, and lifelong growth.
